Dr. Terry Mills and his wife, Antonia, have written a book about their experience of coping with the death of Dr. Mills’ brother, Elliot. Dr. Mills is the Assistant Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and the Chief Diversity Officer at John Carroll University.
The book is a true account of the process of engagement and interactions with family, friends, physicians, and social workers, while also providing a helpful resource guide for readers.
The Escort: Walking to Eternity With My Brother gets to the core of family conflict, compassion, and forgiveness during the last episode of a man’s life. It is also a story about taking care of the “business” beyond the grief.
