Do you do your own taxes or want to learn? Love to crunch numbers? Love to help those in need?
The Center for Service and Social Action and the Boler School of Business Department of Accountancy are still looking to recruit and train students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in the federal Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which helps low- to moderate-income individuals and families prepare their income tax returns without professional fees.
Volunteers will be asked to attend a training on January 30 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and can choose from the following Saturdays in spring 2016 to volunteer: February 6, March 12 and 19, and April 9 and 16.
Visit http://sites.jcu.edu/service/pages/special/vita/ for more information and to register. Register by January 25! Contact service@jcu.edu for more information.
