Encourage Your Students to Complete the JCU National College Health Assessment

This week, all JCU undergraduate students who are considered full-time, degree-seeking students have been invited to participate in the National College Health Assessment (NCHA) sponsored and distributed by the American College Health Association (ACHA). The NCHA is a survey designed to assess student health behaviors in order to provide better services and support for John Carroll University students. The information gathered from the NCHA guides the work of the Student Affairs Department in developing data-based wellness programs and services for John Carroll University students.

The NCHA-Web is completed online via the Internet. Students are encouraged to complete the survey in one sitting, which typically takes about 20-30 minutes. Upon submitting a survey, the student will receive an email invitation to participate in a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. Every 25th respondent will receive a $25 Amazon gift card!

Student participation is completely voluntary and confidential. Participating students are free to discontinue participation at any time and refusing or withdrawing from this study will be at no penalty or loss of benefits to the student. While we encourage faculty to promote participation in the National College Health Assessment, offering extra credit or proof of completion is prohibited due to the confidentiality of the survey.

The survey is available through Wednesday, February 24. You may contact Megan Dzurec, Coordinator of Health Promotion and Wellness at 216.397.1973 if you have questions or concerns about the survey.
