Today: The Synod on the Family: Reflections of a Bishop Participant

Wednesday, April 27
Donahue Auditorium, Dolan Science Center
7:30 p.m

You are invited to this talk given by The Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Ph.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, “The Synod on the Family: Reflections of a Bishop Participant.” The Synod of Bishops of the Catholic Church met in Rome over the last two years to discuss challenges to families in the contemporary world. Pope Francis himself appointed Bishop Murry to this synod. Since then Pope Francis has issued his apostolic exhortation, Amoris Laetitia (“The Joy of Love”), as a response to the synod. Bishop Murry will share with the community his experience of the synod and his reflections on Amoris Laetitia.
