Mission Leave Opportunity: Serve as a Judge for We the People
We need your help! On Thursday, May 19, over 100 fourth graders from Cleveland and East Cleveland schools will be on campus for the We the People Mock Congressional Hearing. JCU student tutors have provided classroom instruction all year to the children about the U.S. Constitution and citizenship, and these fourth graders will demonstrate what they have learned.
Volunteers are needed to serve as judges – in teams of three, judges will ask the students questions about specific chapters of their textbook. Training is provided the morning of the event. Time: 8:45 am – 12:15 pm. There is also a need for volunteer facilitators and for event set-up and lunch serving for those who cannot commit to the entire morning.
