Today: Celebrate the Spirit Schedule for September 8
Every year John Carroll University, like other Jesuit schools throughout the country, celebrates the beginning of the academic year with a collective time of prayer. We invoke God’s spirit on our endeavors for the year. At John Carroll we begin our celebration with a Mass at the Church of the Gesu at 12:05 p.m. on Thursday, September 8. There are no classes held between noon and 2:30 p.m. in order to ensure that everyone can participate in the Mass and the luncheon which is part of our celebration. The Mass begins at 12:05 p.m. at Gesu.
Lunch is provided to the entire community. Lunch in the Schott Dining Hall will begin at 12:15 p.m. Lunch under the tent on the Quad will begin after Mass. Join us or stay in the tent for a short program featuring radio personality Jen Toohey ’97 and giveaways.
