Please join Chrystal Bruce and Angie Jones for an event sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning and Center for Digital Media. Your colleagues from Chemistry and Psychology will share examples of how they have used clickers to engage students in the classroom. Clickers (otherwise known as “student response systems”) allow professors to instantly and anonymously poll students, eliciting opinions and knowledge of class material. Research has shown that such technology enhances student learning; Angie Jones will share data from her own classes, illustrating how student learning outcomes improved because of her use of this technology. The event will be held on Monday, September 19 in the College of Arts and Sciences Conference Room from 4:00-5:30. Please RSVP to Patricia Hoffman at phoffman@jcu.edu by September 15.
