James Watling, Ph.D., of the John Carroll Biology Department, will speak at the Cleveland Botanical Garden on Wednesday, September 21, at 7 p.m. in a lecture sponsored by the Northeast Ohio Sierra Club Rainforest Committee. Dr. Watling’s talk is “The heat is on: thermal biology, climate change, and tropical deforestation.”
There is a $5 admission fee to the Botanical Garden for non-members; admission is free for members. In addition to the lecture, there will be access to the Garden’s glasshouse exhibits. Prior to the lecture is a Hoppy Hour, at 5:30 p.m., with the chance to sample craft beers from our area and learn about the brewing process.
