Today: PowHERful™ Summit for Women and Girls

The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion is excited to share that the Soledad O’Brien & Brad Raymond Starfish Foundation is bringing its PowHERful™ Summit to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH in partnership with the Women of Color Foundation on Saturday, September 24th, 2016.

PowHERful™ is a free, daylong empowerment summit for young women aged 15 to 23 years old. We give these high school and college-aged girls a chance to explore different career options, receive useful guidance and advice, and interact with successful professionals. PowHERful™ features industry experts who present curriculum in areas like finance and digital literacy, STEM, workforce development, college preparedness, health, and more. In addition, we have morning and afternoon keynotes by inspiring leaders from various backgrounds.

FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must be between the age of 15-23 to attend the Summit.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Campus Center Garage — The most convenient parking is located in the Severance Hall parking garage on East Boulevard for a fee. There will be stairs and/or elevator access to Tinkham Veale University Center in the garage.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?
You should bring as little as possible to be able to move comfortably throughout the day. Notebooks and pens will be provided to all registered participants. You might want to bring a light sweater as conference rooms can sometimes be a bit cooler.
