CDM Brown Bag Workshop: Universal Design for Learning

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework for the design of materials and instructional methods that are usable by a wide range of students. This workshop will demonstrate UDL techniques that can be used to make your Canvas courses and classroom presentations more accessible.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Use page colors, links, styles, tables, and headers more responsibly
  • Design pages that are compatible with screen readers
  • Provide documents in an accessible format
  • Provide fallback methods for media (e.g. video captions)
  • Give individual students more time to take a timed quiz

The workshop will take place on Friday, October 7, from noon-12:50 p.m. Please visit the CDM website to learn more/register: http://sites.jcu.edu/cdm.
