The Department of Theology and Religious Studies invites John Carroll students, faculty and staff to view the private screening of “The Destruction of Memory”. This documentary based on the book with the same name by Robert Bevan attempts to educate and raise awareness about the importance of protecting one’s cultural heritage. In the movie, there are interviews with people who risk all to save, protect, salvage, and even try to rebuild their heritage.
Sponsored by the Department of Theology and Religious Studies and hosted by Michele Stopera Freyhauf and her TRS299C – Religion, Terror, & Culture Wars class, the event will take place, Wednesday, October 19th, at 5 p.m. in AD249.
After the movie, the writer/ director/producer, Tim Slade, will join in via Skype for a Q&A session.
