Today: Author Pages & Impact Factors: Using Selected Works and Google Scholar Profiles

A presentation by Jaleh Fazelian and Mina Chercourt of the Grasselli Library

Please join the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Center for Digital Media for our next Lunch and Learn session. It will be held on Tuesday, October 25, at 12:30 p.m. in the O’Connell Reading Room of the Dolan Science Center.

Want to show how much impact your research has? Want to learn where your articles are being downloaded worldwide?

Selected Works is a research announcement tool designed to maximize the readership and impact of an author’s works. The platform allows authors the flexibility to present their work in the manner that makes most sense to them, as well as build their own network of followers through RSS feed or email.

Google Scholar Citations provide a simple way for authors to keep track of citations to their articles. You can check who is citing your publications, graph citations over time, and compute several citation metrics. You can also make your profile public, so that it may appear in Google Scholar results when people search for your name.

Lunch and drinks will be served (including those famous JCU chips!). Please R.S.V.P. to Pat Hoffman at phoffman@jcu.edu by Tuesday, October 18.
