Do you do your own taxes or want to learn? Then check out the VITA program!
The Center for Service and Social Action and the Boler School of Business Department of Accountancy are still looking to recruit and train students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in the federal Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which helps low- to moderate-income individuals and families prepare their income tax returns without professional fees.
Volunteers will be asked to attend a training on Saturday, January 28, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and can choose from the following Saturdays in spring 2017 to volunteer: February 4, 18, and 25; March 18 and 25; and April 1 and 8.
