Join us for this week’s film, “Cabeza de Vaca,” hosted by Profs. Maria Marsilli (HS) and John McBratney (EN) in Donahue Auditorium tonight at 7 p.m. Based on a true story, this movie tells the story of a Spanish conqueror captured by various Native American tribes. A grueling eight-year trek takes him across the Gulf of Mexico, through Texas to the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, he rises from oppressed slave to mystical shaman and passionate ally of the very people he had once sought to conquer. All are invited!
