Today: HR Training Series: Mental Health First Aid Training

This training is an eight-hour course, over two days, that provides certification and teaches attendees how to help someone who is experiencing the early warning signs of mental illness and substance use problems, as well as how to intervene in crisis situations such as risk of suicide or overdose. MHFA is an international public education program similar to CPR and First Aid that helps members of the public identify, understand, and connect individuals to professional help. This training is being sponsored by the Dean of Students Offices and the Department of Human Resources. We want to encourage staff members who have significant contact with students to consider signing up for this course. Participants must attend the entire eight-hour training for certification. Enrollment is limited to 30 individuals.
