Part 2: Making H/SS Majors/Minors More Attractive to Today’s Students
Workshop #2 Monday 3/26, 12:00-1:00, O’ Connell Reading Room, Charles and Helen Dolan Center for Science and Technology
How do we encourage more students to consider degrees in the humanities and social sciences? How do we help them understand what transferable skills they are developing through work in our disciplines, and what professional opportunities are available to them? Join Richard Clark, Margaret Finucane, Philip Metres, Logan Vess, and us to discuss how to present our wealth of curricular and co-curricular opportunities to students.
Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Kathryn Gilway (kgilway@jcu.edu) to let us know if you plan to attend. Day one attendance not necessary to attend this session.
We also set up a Canvas course where you can find additional material (look in Modules). You should have received an invitation to join the course and you are welcome to add articles, data, and website links to the material in the course.
