Today: Pirates, Soldiers & other “Savages” 2018 Mitsui Lecture

Dr. Kirk W. Larsen, Ph.D., presents, “Pirates, Soldiers, & other ‘Savages’: How critical moments in early Korean-American relations influence the two Koreas and the United States Today,” as the 2018 Mitsui Distinguished Lecturer. One of the world’s foremost experts on Korean history, Dr. Larsen will speak at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, in the Donahue Auditorium, Dolan Center for Science and Technology. The lecture is free and open to the public. The event is made possible through funding from the Mitsui USA Foundation, and is sponsored by JCU’s East Asian Studies program.
