Staff of Color@JCU Employee Resource Group: Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival

The first Staff of Color ERG event will be an opportunity to see a series of short films at the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival at Shaker Square this Sunday, September 23. One of these films will highlight JCU community partner, Eliza Bryant Village, a nursing home located in the Hough neighborhood.

We will be meeting at Shaker Square Cinemas at 1:30 p.m., and the film will go until 2:45 p.m. Afterward, there is a free outdoor community event in Shaker Square for the festival, featuring live music. Feel free to come for the film, the outdoor event, or both! Family and friends are welcome, but the ERG will only be able to cover the cost of the film ticket for JCU staff members.

Staff of Color ERG Vision:

The Staff of Color Employee Resource Group envisions a university community that is inclusive and supportive of all people. To achieve this vision, the Staff of Color Employee Resource Group will gather and support people from minoritized racial identities. The Staff of Color Employee Resource Group will organically evolve to meet the needs of women and men of color in this community. This Employee Resource Group aims to be a network of staff of color who are interested in creating community, and advocating for equity and inclusion for staff of color at John Carroll University.
