Description: The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets standards for minimum wage and overtime pay for many employees. It also establishes requirements for certain jobs to qualify for exemption from overtime pay. The FLSA impacts supervisors’ everyday management of staff and work schedules, including management of lunch time, work from home, and the writing of a job description. This workshop is designed to clarify the requirements of the FLSA that are applicable to supervisors through real-life examples. An update of possible FLSA regulatory changes also will be provided.
