Mail Center Recommendations for Students During the Summer (Reminder)

Hello Students! We hope your Spring Semester is going great. With the school year winding down before Summer Break, the Mail Center has recommendations in regards to student mail boxes, receiving mail and packages.

If you are a student with a campus mailbox, returning for the Fall Semester and residing in the campus dorms, your mailbox number will remain the same. Residence Life assigns the mailbox numbers and that information can be found on your My Housing page.

If you will be living off-campus or studying abroad, you will lose your student mailbox assignment. Any mail that does not have a current student mailbox number will be returned to sender since the JCU Mail Center cannot forward mail per United States Postal Services regulations. Please contact the Registrar’s Office with your updated address. Also, please notify your contacts (family, friends, businesses, magazines, etc.) with your updated address.

All student mailboxes will be cleared out the week after Commencement (May 20-24). Please clear out your student mailbox before you leave campus for Summer Break. As for packages, please stop by the Mail Center in the Administration Building with your ID to obtain your packages before you go home for Summer Break. Any packages that shall expect and/or receive during the Summer, please have them sent to your home and/or Summer residence.

If you are not staying in the dorms on campus this summer, ALL Mail and Packages will be returned to sender.

Any questions, please e-mail the Mail Center mailcenter@jcu.edu or call 216-397-4680 or stop by between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Thank you for attention, good luck on your finals and enjoy your Summer!
