Baby Boomers! It’s time to get together and do one of the things baby boomers are known for…planning for the future!
As a stepping off subject for discussion, let’s meet to share our hopes for the future and perhaps build and share our bucket lists for travel, retirement, new hobbies, and shared experiences with old and new friends.
Let’s share which establishments (both locally and the broader community) have discounts and deals to offer our generation. Do we want to explore group discounts to attend local entertainment or travel? How do we want to share this information?
Finally, what are our issues or concerns for the future both in the university and the larger community? Which topics should we address? Equity in pay? Staying relevant in the workplace? Loneliness? Parental care? Health? Worry over retirement?
Join your fellow Baby Boomers* for this group discussion and enjoy a free lunch in the Schott Dining Hall on Thursday, October 17, at noon. Connie Brooks and Patti Taylor (your ERG co-chairs) will be on hand to give out passes for the lunch.
We look forward to seeing you there!
*While Baby Boomers are generally those born between 1946 and 1964, we invite all faculty and staff who identify with this group to join us.
