The Office of the Provost and Academic Vice President invites submission of abstracts for the 19th annual Celebration of Scholarship. Since 2002, the Celebration of Scholarship has proudly showcased the research and creative efforts of the John Carroll community—faculty, staff, and especially students.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday, February 28, 2020.
Poster Session – Monday, March 30, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Visually report on a research project you have carried out for a class. If you are interested in creating and presenting a poster, the application form can be accessed at the following link: https://jcu.edu/celebration-scholarship/information-applicants/poster-application. You should also consider entering your poster in the Poster Competition.
Panel Session – Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2
If you are interested in presenting a paper at a panel session, please contact your department chair or the director of the academic program related to your project. We have asked faculty and staff to serve as the organizers of fully developed panels. If it is not possible for your paper to be incorporated into a panel, please feel free to contact Erica Kennedy (ekennedy@jcu.edu).
Student Research Showdown
A NEW opportunity for students to showcase their excellence in research communication. Students make short, 2 minute videos explaining their research to a mass audience, and give TED-style talks in this exciting, new event. The application for the Student Research Showdown will be available soon on the Celebration of Scholarship website.
