The Writing Center Opens on Monday, February 1st

Welcome back for spring semester! The Writing Center consultants are ready to assist every JCU writer with their assignments for spring courses. We will be offering sessions in a fully-online format again this semester to protect the health and safety of our staff and student writers, and our sessions will be available in two forms:
1. synchronous: great for brainstorming, outlining, sharing ideas, or talking through the best ways to revise and improve your paper. This format is as close to being in-person as possible, and you can meet over Zoom (using video or just audio) to examine and talk through your paper “live.”
2. asynchronous: useful for final or almost-final drafts, and available for students who are unable to attend “live” or whose access needs make synchronous sessions unsuccessful. In this format, you will share the Google Doc of your paper with an assigned consultant, and they will provide written feedback at a specified time.

To request an appointment, simply access our Google Form, linked here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfnvf8UBUAksAeQ6j1RtSGu_I1gS7PpCs5E4XU99ZEfq2uWDQ/closedform. Once we receive your Form, a consultant will schedule your session. This semester, we are available on these days and times:
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
