Let’s Talk is a drop-in program for all current JCU students that provides easy access to free, informal, confidential consultations with a Counseling Center therapist. Simply drop-in during the times listed below because no appointment is necessary! Consultations typically last about 20 minutes. Consultations are on a first-come, first-serve basis – so you may have to wait for a short time in the virtual waiting room.
Let’s Talk is an opportunity for you to talk about concerns and receive expert suggestions about solutions and resources, or just have someone who listens well and can offer support. No topic is off limits, but common concerns include: stress, sadness, difficulty adjusting to school, academic concerns, family problems, financial issues, relationship concerns, identity and cultural concerns.
Due to the pandemic, Let’s Talk consultations are currently in virtual format only.
Mondays, 3pm – 4pm
Wednesdays, 2pm – 3pm
Passcode: 4283
**NOTE: The last Let’s Talk hours will be on May 3rd & 5th. There will be no Let’s Talk hours during finals week.
**NOTE: You will enter a waiting room. Often times, the Let’s Talk consultant will immediately admit you into the room during the above times. Sometimes, however, you may have to wait for up to 10 minutes if they are finishing up with another student. If you’re waiting longer than that without a message from the Let’s Talk consultant, you can call the Counseling Center front desk at 216-397-4283.
