The Honduran Children’s Rescue fund pairs up with Gesu to run the exact same trip that John Carroll Campus Ministry runs. They go to the same location in Honduras to do medical brigades.
Gesu is short on people and could really use the help this June. If you are interested, please contact Chris Cantanese (216-276-3157, chrisanncat@yahoo.com) by Thursday, May 5th. They purchase tickets very soon. Here is some info about the trip.
Hi! My name is Chris Catanese
I am on the Board for: Honduran Children’s Rescue Fund. (HCRF)
I know that JCU is also involved in Medical Brigades to Honduras
& they stay at Nuevo Paraiso.
We have a small group going to Nuevo Paraiso
June 10 – 17th
The President of our Board, Brian Smith is coordinating a Medical Brigade
& I am coordinating a Construction Group
The Construction group will do small projects around the orphanage properties.
Mae Cruz is our liaison & she will be working with us.
Cato will be going on the Medical Brigade.
Please let me know if there are any students that would like to join us!
We would like to take 15 people and we are only at 7 right now.
The Medical Brigade will hire local Honduran doctors to assist their daily trips to treat Hondurans.
The Construction Group will work with local Honduran construction workers.
This will be my 9th trip & Brian Smith has gone over 50 times.
We are a seasoned group, but due to Covid – we are not getting the Volunteers that usually sign up from Gesu Parish.
(which is why I am reaching out to you)
