Starting Today, Thursday, 8/3/23 around 8 am in the courtyard beside Dauby Plaza between Bruening and the ground floor of Saint Ignatius hall, the masonry restoration project will be attaching fasteners to concrete.
This process creates a bang or popping noise, similar to the sound of a small fire cracker going off. This sound will happen intermittently at spaced out intervals.
This sound is a normal and necessary part of restoring the building façade.
This concrete fastening may continue on Friday, but is expected to be completed before 3 pm on Friday.
