Annual Geller Lecture Series Presented by Sociology and Criminology
The Sociology and Criminology Department is pleased to announce the 2024 Geller Lecture: Citizen Scholar Public Engagement for Social Scientists, featuring guest speaker Dr. Philip Cohen, Professor of Sociology and Demography at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Join us to explore how scholarship can enhance our public contribution to society and inspire civic engagement. Professor Cohen will provide practical tips on developing a robust public intellectual identity, addressing topics such as world events, social media, open scholarship, political activism, and peer review.
