Banned Books Week Bracket Challenge – round 2

Grasselli Library and Breen Learning Center is hosting a Banned Books Week (September 22-28, 2024) bracket challenge to determine JCU’s favorite banned or challenged book. Round 2 of voting is now open.

Round 2 ends at 5pm on 9/21. At that time, the winners of the second round will be revealed and you can then vote in the next round. The third round of voting will open after 5pm on 9/21 and will remain open until 5pm on 9/23. The final round of the Banned Books Week bracket contest will be open until Wednesday, 9/25 at noon. The winner of JCU’s favorite banned or challenged book competition will be revealed at Tower Time next week.

What is Banned Books Week? Typically held during the last week of September, Banned Books Week highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community — librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas.
