Register for the January 9th Writing Retreat

In collaboration with the Offices of Academic Affairs and Mission & Identity, the Writing Center is hosting a Faculty Writing Retreat on January 9th! There are still spots open, so you can sign up here: https://forms.gle/oc26hptZjcMb9UGm7

Use this day (9:30am-3:00pm) to defend large blocks of writing/working time for yourself, bracketed by facilitated goal-setting and reflection. There are also optional breakout sessions for professional development, movement, and writing support so you can learn holistic strategies to care for yourself as a writer.

Here is our agenda:

9:30-10:00 am Check-in and Coffee + Light Snack (OC 203)
10:00-10:30 am Welcome and Goal Setting (OC 203)
10:30-12:00 pm Writing Time (OC 203, OC 207, OC 212, OC 214, OC 101) with
10:30-11:15 am Choose Your Own Adventure: Breakout Sessions (optional)

Strategies for Fitting Your Research into the Semester
Developing and Framing Your Idea for Research Proposals

12:00-12:45 pm Lunch (O’Malley Commons)

12:45-1:15 pm Easy Yoga and Stretching for Writers (OC 211, optional)
1:00-2:30 pm Writing Time (OC 203, 201, 207, 212, 214)
2:30-3:00 pm Wrap-Up Session (OC 203)
