Canvas Tip of the Week

Giving individual students more time to take a timed quiz

For a variety of reasons (e.g. students with disabilities), you may find it necessary to grant one or more students additional time to complete a timed quiz in Canvas. To do so, click on the Quizzes link on a course’s navigation bar, then on the quiz you would like to modify. If the quiz is published, you will see the Moderate this Quiz link on the right-hand navigation bar. Clicking on this link will take you to a page where you can use the edit button (or the check boxes for multiple students) to grant additional time (or even additional quiz attempts) to the selected student(s).
