The East Asian Studies Program is honored to present the 2015 Mitsui Distinguished Lecture on Wednesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Science Center. This year’s lecture will feature Dr. Mei Zhan, who will discuss “The ‘Worlding’ of Traditional Chinese Medicine.” Dr. Zhan will speak about her research and experiences in Shanghai and the San Francisco Bay Area over a ten-year period (1995-2005). An Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Zhan also authored the book, “Other-Worldly: Making Chinese Medicine through Transnational Frames.”
