Robert Roche, member of the American Indian Movement and Native American activist from the American Indian Education Center of Cleveland, will present a public lecture at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, in the Dolan Center for Science and Technology, Donahue Auditorium. Mr. Roche is also an important participant in the Chief Wahoo debate and the Standing Rock DAPL protest. He will reflect on the ways these concerns affect the Native American community and the ways Native Americans advocate for other marginated peoples and the environment.
At 5 p.m., Mr. Roche will be the guest of honor at a special dinner – on campus – for interested JCU students, faculty, and staff. Seats are limited. If you are interested in dinner and conversation with Mr. Roche, please register at http://sites.jcu.edu/trs/events/the-art-of-culture-shock-native-americans-at-the-intersection-of-contemporary-american-society/
