The Bediüzzaman Said Nursi Chair in Islamic Studies presents the 10th Annual Week of Islamic Art and Culture at John Carroll University

All of the events will start at 7 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Center for Science and Technology with light refreshments to follow.
Tuesday, April 18: A performance of Sufi music
Wednesday, April 19: Fr. Michael Calabria, Director of the Center for Arab & Islamic Studies at St. Bonaventure University, will speak about “Worth the Price: the Necessity of Islamic Art in an Iconoclastic Age.” Fr. Calabria will discuss the value of Islamic art as a vital aid to understanding Islamic societies in all their chronological and cultural diversity, uniquely woven from many cultural and confessional strands.
Thursday, April 20: A showing of the film “Allah Made me Funny”
