The Institute of Catholic Studies will be hosting a Panel on “Youth, Faith, and Vocational Discernment: Preparing for the Next Synod”
Pope Francis has asked young people to let the Church know what they think about the needs and hopes of young people today. That is the inspiration for our event later this month.
The format for our event will be a panel of four young Catholics whose education and ministry make them valuable witnesses to the needs and hopes of the young. These four are:
Grace Blanchard, a student at JCU of the class of 2019 who actively participates in JCU Campus Ministry activities.
Martin Dober, JCU Class of 2014, a seminarian for the diocese of Cleveland in the M.Div. program at St. Mary’s Seminary, Wycliffe, OH, a founder of the Tolle Lege Summer Institute for Catholic High School Seniors.
Jurell Sison, JCU Class of 2013, M.A. in Theology from JCU, Teacher of Theology at St. Edward High School, Lakewood, OH, founder of The Living Person.com.
Jillian Zaczyk, JCU Class of 2013, M.T.S., Boston College, Campus Minister and Teacher of Theology at Lake Catholic High School, Mentor, OH
This panel will be led by Dr. Edward Hahnenberg, Breen Chair of Catholic Theology in the JCU Department of Theology and Religious Studies.
Join us on October 19, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the LSC Conference Room.
