This is a paid campus position that reports to Dr. Rebecca Drenovsky, JCU NSF S-STEM Program Director. Mentors are trained prior to the start of the fall semester.
Mentors will attend activities during the two-week Summer Bridge Program and at New Student Orientation and Streak Week, in August. Over the academic year, Mentors are responsible for weekly Peer Led Team Learning activities. Mentors must be majoring in one of the following departments: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics & Computer Science, or Physics. Underrepresented minorities and first generation college students strongly encouraged to apply.
