Applications for the John C. Soper Contest in Social Entrepreneurship are due Today, April 10th to dwinkel@jcu.edu by 5 p.m. Prize is $1,000.
Contest Guidelines:
You should create an entrepreneurial project that addresses one of these United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as it relates to Northeast Ohio:
Gender Equality ( Goal 5)
Responsible Production and Consumption ( Goal 12)

Application Guidelines
Submit a two to four page proposal answering the following questions:
1. What is your service/product/idea?
• Who does it serve?
• What problem does it solve?
• Are other organizations/people addressing this problem? How is your approach different from their approach?
2. How will you reach the people you want to help?
• Have you talked with the people/organization you want to help or work with to gauge their interest? What did you find?
3. What existing partnerships/resources can you use?
• What other resources will you need?
4. How will you get this product/service started?
• What is your first step?
Proposals will be evaluated on overall proposal quality and completeness, benefit to the
community, and feasibility.
Finalists will be notified April 11, 2019.
Final presentations and judging will take place
April 15 at 3:30 in the Lombardo Student Center Conference Room.
