Join OIPu in welcoming Jennifer Thompson in discussing her best-selling book, “Picking Cotton: Our Memoir of Injustice and Redemption” this Tuesday (10/20) at 7pm. Ms. Thompson became a pioneer in restorative justice after her own case resulted in the wrongful conviction of Ronald Cotton. After he was exonerated, they developed a close friendship and eventually co-authored “Picking Cotton.”As a crime victim herself, she believes in taking an “all-harmed” approach to bring healing to both crime victims and exonerees. Attendees will be entered into a raffle to win fun prizes including a copy of the book and Ohio Innocence Project merchandise!
