Join us for a talk on April 20th at 7pm by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Peter Balakian on “The Lessons of the Armenian Genocide,” held in the Donahue Auditorium in the Dolan Science Center at John Carroll University. The event sponsored by the Armenian Cultural Garden of Cleveland and the Peace, Justice and Human Rights Program at John Carroll University, as well as numerous departments and organizations on campus.
Peter Balakian is the author of “The Burning Tigris: The Armenian Genocide and America’s Response”, “Black Dog of Fate” and “Ozone Journal”. He has appeared on 60 Minutes, ABC World News Tonight, PBS and Fresh Air. He is currently the Donald M. and Constance H. Rebar Professor of Humanities, Professor of English and Director of Creative Writing at Colgate University.
