The Business Office and Information Technology Services have been investigating potential purchasing systems. A centralized purchasing system will streamline and speed up the procurement process while eliminating much of the paper shuffling involved in the current ordering and invoicing processes. Integration of supplier catalogs with negotiated pricing directly into the new system will make purchasing easier and more cost-effective across the university.
The two vendor finalists will be on campus next week to demonstrate their systems. These presentations are open to all interested campus colleagues.
