Join the African American Alliance on Wednesday, Feb. 26, for the screening of “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” a 2013 American historical fiction drama film starring Forest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines, an African-American who eyewitnesses notable events of the 20th century during his 34-year tenure serving as a White House butler. The movie will start at 7 p.m. in the LSC Conference Room.

Today: Carl Wilkens: “Rwanda’s Gift for You: Learning Harmony 20 Years Out”

Carl Wilkens, the only American to stay in Rwanda when the genocide began in 1994, will talk about his experiences during an appearance at John Carroll’s Campus. Wilkens’ lecture, “Rwanda’s Gift for You: Learning Harmony 20 Years Out,” also includes international humanitarian intervention, Rwanda today and its regional context. The lecture will take place Monday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium, Dolan Center for Science and Technology.
