Today: JCU Women’s Club Volleyball Host Tri-Match

Show your support for the John Carroll Women’s Club Volleyball Team on Sunday, April 9, from 1 to 6 p.m. in the DeCarlo Varsity Gym. The team will be playing in a tri-match against Cleveland State’s and University of Akron’s women’s club volleyball teams. A bake sale and t-shirt sale ($10 per shirt) will be held at the scrimmage to support the JCU team’s trip to the National Club Volleyball Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.

Today: Lenten Concert Features Cleveland Orchestra Quartet

Please join us on Saturday, April 8, at 4 p.m. in Saint Francis Chapel for a Lenten Concert: “The Seven Last Words of Christ” by Franz Joseph Haydn. This musical work for string quartet will feature members of our city’s renowned Cleveland Orchestra. The concert is free and open to the public.

Easter Egg Hunt for Honduras Immersion

Come to an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 9, starting at 11:30 a.m., in the Muldoon Atrium of the Dolan Center for Science and Technology. Please bring a donation to go toward vitamins for the JCU Medical Immersion to Honduras. All ages are welcome!

Today: Apply for an On-Campus Internship at JCU Career Center

Career Assistant Interns are full-time sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate students at John Carroll University who will serve in an integral role in assisting in the implementation of new professional development programming of the Career Center. This is a paid, full school-year internship in which students will work 8-10 hours a week at the Career Center. Application deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, April 7.

Today: ‘Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike’ this weekend

The Tim Russert Department of Communication and Theatre Arts presents “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” by Christopher Durang, which continues this weekend, April 7 and 8, at 7:30 p.m. and April 9, at 2 p.m. in Kulas Auditorium. This comedy won the Tony Award for Best Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play in 2013.

Today: Mail and Copy Centers Closing at 4 p.m. Friday

The JCU Mail and Copy Centers will close at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 7, for a departmental function. The Copy Center will have drop-off services only, available from 3 to 4 p.m. The Mail Center recommends that mail be brought down by 2:30 p.m. to ensure that it will go out the same day.
