As part of the University’s commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the martyrs of El Salvador, the Office of Mission and Identity invites the JCU community and friends to a lunchtime lecture by Rev. Fernando Cardenal, S.J., titled “My Life as a Jesuit Priest in the Nicaraguan Revolution & Reflections on the Jesuit Martyrs.” The luncheon lecture will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the LSC Conference Room.

Join the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion and the Don Shula Chair in Philosophy for a lecture by Lani Guinier, an American lawyer, scholar, and civil rights activist, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m. in Donahue Auditorium. Guinier is the Bennett Boskey Professor of Law at Harvard Law School and the first woman of color appointed to a tenured professorship at that institution.
