Today: Faculty Lounge/Ladies Restroom Lock Changes

As of Wednesday, July 23, the lock on the Faculty Lounge (AD 144) and the ladies restroom next to the Faculty Lounge (AD 143) will be changed to coincide with the keying in the rest of the Administration Building. If you currently have a key to either of these rooms, it will no longer work after Wednesday, July 23. Find out what to do with your key and how to get a new one here.

Volunteer Opportunity: Saint Agnes/Our Lady of Fatima Church Event

Are you on or near campus for the summer and looking to continue a commitment to service? Saint Agnes/Our Lady of Fatima Parish is connected to Fatima Family Center, a multi-purpose neighborhood center serving the Hough area. Fatima Family Center is a community partner with which John Carroll has a strong relationship and which students, staff, and faculty have supported through annual events and weekly service for many years. Saint Agnes/Our Lady of Fatima will be having a church and neighborhood event on Sunday, July 27, and they need our help.

Today: Energy Reduction Day

Due to a forecast of high temperatures throughout both the East Coast and our area, PJM and FirstEnergy are expecting the demand for electricity to be high today. In order to be good citizens as well as help reduce the likelihood of brownouts, John Carroll has been asked to reduce our power usage from 2-8 p.m. today.

Closing of Auxiliary Drive

Effective at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, all vehicles will need to be removed from Auxiliary Drive behind Sutowski Hall and from the Dolan West parking lot around the loading dock. On Wednesday, July 23, until Saturday, July 26, there will be furniture deliveries to Sutowski Hall.

Free Staged Reading of Euripides’ Play “Alcestis”

There will be a Staged Reading of Euripides’ play “Alcestis” at 8 p.m. on July 24, 25, and 26 in Rodman A. Admission is free and all are welcome. Alcestis may be the first “modern” play because it mixes tragedy and comedy.
