Today: Community Prayer for Tree of Life Synagogue

As a sign of solidarity, healing, and peace, the members of Hillel at JCU, the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, and Campus Ministry invite the community to gather at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, at the Peace Pole adjacent to the Saint Ignatius Plaza. We will pray for all those who died and were injured, for their friends and family members, the Tree of Life Synagogue, and for the Jewish community in this country and around the world.

Live and Direct: Poverty, Affordable Housing, and Homelessness in Cleveland

On Thursday, November 8, at 5 p.m. in Rodman A, join Chris Knestrick and other panelists for a discussion that will center the perspectives of people with lived experienced of homelessness and community leaders advocating for change. Despite the renaissance in Cleveland, people still struggle to live a dignified life. 46% of the people in Cleveland live in poverty and 23,000 people experience homelessness.
