Come to the Information meeting on HS 305: Rome: City of Emperors, Popes and Saints, the class that will take you to Rome during Spring Break 2020. You will spend the week visiting the Roman Forum, Exploring the Vatican, attending a Papal Audience and experiencing Rome. There will be two informational meetings, one on March 20 and one on March 21, from 5-6pm in AD 235. You only need to attend one session. Within the Integrative Core Curriculum, students are required to do writing in all Linked, Engaging the Global Community (EGC), and Additional Writing (AW) classes. In addition, a wide array of courses within our majors have significant writing components. Most faculty here are, in fact, writing teachers. But what do we know about the 1st writing classes (EN 120/121 or EN 125) that students take here at JCU? How can we learn to receive the baton from EN 125 instructors, helping our students progress further on their developmental journey as writers?

The Career Exploration session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 13th from 2:00 to 3:15pm in the O’Dea Conference Room (within the Lombardo Student Center). During the session, a panel of community members will discuss careers outside of classroom teaching, including providing educational programming through for-profit and non-profit organizations.
