Campus Parking During Finals Week Update

Beginning Wednesday, December 12th at 5:00 p.m. Green Road permit holders and students/parents without campus parking permits may park in general parking (student) spaces only on campus. Parking will be enforced in the following areas: Faculty/Staff, Reserved and Restricted.

If you are a Green Road Resident and will be moving out prior to Wednesday, December 12th at 5:00 p.m., please stop in to the JCU Parking Office for a day pass for the main campus.

Today: Going Home: A workshop for those not looking forward to going home for the holidays

There are many reasons why some of us don’t look forward to the holidays–judgmental or unsupportive families, reminders of past traumas, etc. No matter your reason, this workshop will provide support, coping strategies, and holiday break alternatives to those not looking forward to spending Winter Break at home. Join SUPB on Thursday, December 6, in the LSC Atrium from 3:30-5 p.m. for a Stress-Free Event just in time for finals! There will be a massage therapist, service dogs, coloring books, and healthy comfort food like soup!

Today: Streaks in Key Winter Concert

Streaks in Key, John Carroll’s only co-ed a cappella group, is performing their winter concert on Thursday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Underground! Featured songs include “Man in the Mirror,” “Mary Did You Know,” “I Want It That Way,” and “Die A Happy Man.”

Today: Take Action: Equality for Ohio!

Join us on Thursday, December 6, at 8 p.m. in the Murphy Room! We will be writing letters to our representatives to support House Bill 160, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity/expression to Ohio’s list of nondiscrimination protections.

Notification of HLC Visit

John Carroll University is seeking comments from the public about the University in preparation for its periodic comprehensive evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.  On February 11-12, 2019, the University will host a visiting team of peer reviewers representing the Higher Learning Commission.  The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.  John Carroll University has been accredited by HLC since 1922.

Today: Cultural Study Snacks & Their Origins

Take a study break and stop by the LSC Atrium from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, to try various healthy snacks and learn about the cultures that they come from as well as the importance of remembering to eat while studying for finals!

Today: Weekly Army ROTC Training Reminder

ROTC Army Cadets will be conducting training exercises most Thursday mornings during the semester. Cadets will be in a variety of military uniforms.
