World Union of Jesuit Alumni Global Congress Coming to JCU

Did you know that Rev. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., first spoke of becoming “men [and women]” for others at the 1973 World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) gathering in Spain? Did you also know that John Carroll University will host the 2017 WUJA Global Congress from June 28-July 2, the first time the event will be held in North America?

Critical Book Reception: Dr. Mariana Ortega’s New Book

Please join us Friday, May 5, from 4 to 6 p.m., in Rodman A, for a critical book reception for Mariana Ortega, Ph.D.’s, “In-Between: Latina Feminist Phenomenology, Multiplicity, and the Self.” Leading scholars in Latina Feminism will offer critical responses to Dr. Ortega’s new book.

Free, confidential HIV/STD testing on campus

On Friday, April 28, from noon to 4 p.m., confidential, free testing for HIV, gonorrhea, and chlamydia will be available in the Student Health and Wellness Center (lower level Murphy Hall). If needed, medication will be provided at no cost to the student. No appointments needed, just walk in.
