Welcome St. Xavier’s College scholars and faculty

On Saturday, November 5, 15 students and three faculty members from St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur, India, arrived to John Carroll. The students and faculty will be here for two weeks as part of the Global Business Culture and Entrepreneurship Program and will engage in JCU classes, trips to Cleveland firms and organizations, and cultural events on and off campus.

Curious About Cadets and ROTC? Meet Your ROTC!

Ever wonder…Why do cadets wear an Army uniform and run around campus with fake weapons on Thursday mornings? Why do we even have an ROTC program? What does ROTC even stand for? On Thursday, November 10, ROTC will have a table in the LSC Atrium from 7 to 9 a.m., with cadets to answer your questions, provide information, and to show the facsimile weapons used in training.

The Center for Service and Social Action and the Boler School of Business Department of Accountancy are still looking to recruit and train students, faculty, staff, and alumni to participate in the federal Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which helps low- to moderate-income individuals and families prepare their income tax returns without professional fees.
