Javorek appointed University Counseling Center director

Mary Beth Javorek has been appointed director of the University Counseling Center, effective August 1, 2012. As many of you may know, Mary Beth is a John Carroll alumna who earned both her Bachelor of Science in psychology and a master’s in counseling here. She holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Kent State University. Mary Beth joined the Counseling Center in 2000 as a therapist. She took on additional responsibilities as the training coordinator in 2003, and was promoted to associate director in 2010. Mary Beth also worked in Residence Life for five years and served as the interim coordinator for Services for Students with Disabilities.
