Today: Acoustic rock and soul band Alma Desnuda comes to campus
Alma Desnuda creates music to promote kindness and embrace the fullness of the human spirit. With funky grooves, earthy percussion, and vocal harmonies, its fresh blend of rock appeals to most any audience bringing forth smiles and dancing.
The San Francisco band continues to grow from their grassroots following, performing at world-renowned establishments, for artists like Carlos Santana, touring nationally and internationally, all the while continuing their pledge to support charities and social justice organizations, such as the Mind Body Awareness Project, Relay for Life, and the Lincoln Child Center.
Alma Desnuda will perform a “Roaming” show on Thursday, August 30, in the Student Center Atrium from noon-1 p.m., and an evening show again in the Atrium at 7 p.m.
